Our speaker, John Ghent, the CEO of PrivacyEngine, emphasizes the importance of proper communication between the data protection officer and data protection champions, simplicity in building a culture of privacy, a role-based training for employees. Additionally, the webinar discusses the importance of a reactive approach in case of a data breach and the need to prevent it from happening again by demonstrating compliance. Finally, the webinar recommends utilising privacy training modules such as “Ninjio” and seeking additional partners if necessary, stressing the importance of taking privacy seriously and preparing for incidents.

John Ghent

John is the Co-founder and CEO of PrivacyEngine and the platform's primary IT architect. He is a thought leader in Machine Learning and Data Protection and was recently named Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Start-Up founder of the year. John has PhD and BSc in computer science from National University of Ireland, Maynooth. He also attended Harvard Business School, completing an Executive Education Programme.
